BRINGING VALUABLE INSIGHTS
TO THE PROFESSION

Facial surgery covers all areas of surgery to the face, from the treatment of skin cancer to cosmetic surgery.

Between 23-25 June 2027, Professor Visavadia – President of the British Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS), will host the BAOMS Annual Scientific meeting at The EICC in Edinburgh, Scotland.

At the meeting #TeamMaxFax delegates will enjoy a programme built around the skills that help oral and maxillofacial surgeons make a lasting difference, network, connect and share their valuable insights.

A new fellowship programme – titled ‘Project Gold Dust’ is being developed to support the next generation of oral and maxillofacial surgeons to develop beyond technical excellence: as leaders, communicators, mentors and educators. Fellows will learn from experts, apply their learning to practical projects and present resources that colleagues can use across the specialty.

The programme focuses on stronger team culture, confident communication, coaching, innovation, wellbeing and education, all with one clear purpose: improving the patient experience and helping today’s Fellows become tomorrow’s mentors.
